He makes her laugh, a lot! A smile is constantly on her face when she is around him. And she even brings out a smile or two from him,  a guy who professes he doesn’t know how to smile. Jess and James just click and bring out the best in one another.

On Saturday we spent the afternoon walking around Portsmouth. Loving old houses and charm of an older city, Portsmouth was the perfect location for these two. We found alleyways, colonial homes, brick walls, old churches and even a garden. Portsmouth is a great little city and I always love shooting there.

We started out at a little cafe right in downtown Portsmouth.

Jess and James, I can’t wait for your October wedding, and I know you can’t either!

Lora Ayers - love the ivy wall shots!July 29, 2010 – 1:32 pm

Anna - I think I saw a smile one one! And there was a whole lotta “don’t mess with my girl” going on, which was pretty great as well. :) Nice work!July 27, 2010 – 1:55 am

Donna Hardy - What a wonderful session. They are an adorable couple. Obviously, very much in love. Yes, I agree with them — you are THE BEST. The backgrounds you found were awesome — even the one with the bicycle made an interesting composition. October wedding – what an beautiful time of year. Donna.July 26, 2010 – 3:43 pm
