Ah, l’amore. I feel in love with love at a young age. It began with my mom and I watching endless amounts of Roger and Hammerstein musicals together during her summers off. As I grew older, my infatuation with love only deepened. I’d dress up in my tulle costume wedding dress and elastic head band tiara and bounce around the house, pretending to be a princess bride, dreaming of the day when I would find my prince.
Now, I am all grown up and married to the man of my dreams. And though I’ve found love, my affair with love has only continued to grow. Thoughts of Paris and sweeping musical scores still fill my day dreams. And sometimes, I think about digging out my wedding dress and parading around the house, just for fun.
Today, my job is love. I have the honor of being a part of beautiful love stories. Seeing the dreams of little girls come true at they marry their prince. Watching as two people commit their lives to one another. It is truly beautiful.
