Bill & Leah’s Wedding at The Phoenix Room in Downtown Newburyport

Is there anything sweeter than a love story that started in high school?! Bill and Leah’s wedding was filled with memories of their relationship over the past ten years. They’ve grown up together, graduated high school and college, got jobs, bought a house. They’ve built a life together over these 10 years and on Saturday...

Wear To Work

One of the BIGGEST challenges I have documenting weddings HAS to be knowing what to wear! How does one go about looking cute, matching the professionalism of their brand all while being comfortable and flexible enough to document a wedding?! Last year I had a horrible time dressing for weddings. I always felt so frumpy...

Meg - Fun Advise! I love those capris. Compared to some other photographers I’ve seen, I LOVE that you make an effort to look nice – so many are showing up frumpy and not so professional. I notice from the pics you post on instagram!

I agree work clothes are hard to find! Try dressing professional for a dirty job site! i haven’t figured that one out yet.May 16, 2012 – 11:35 am

Emilia Jane - Love that blouse! I need more cream & blush in my life.May 16, 2012 – 11:33 am

Olivia - Super cute Deb! I LOVE Cole Haan’s too :) I am a huge fan of Anthropologie and BCBG so those are usually my fashion “go-to’s”. I’ll hafta post pics so you can see:)May 16, 2012 – 11:28 am

Abbey - I love your posts Deborah!!! Seriously! Yes, wedding season is starting up and my biggest dilemna is what shoes to wear. I just shot a wedding this past weekend and the the flats I had on were a no-no (but hey, a girl’s gotta be cute right). I am definitely going to look into the Cole Haan’s. As for clothing, I actually like to wear dresses with a cute necklace or bracelet to jazz things up a bit.May 16, 2012 – 11:09 am

Kristin Peddicord - I love this! You look so cute, I’m gonna go check out those shoes now! Thanks for this :) May 16, 2012 – 11:09 am

Wedding Love : More Than Just A Color

I have a confession. More often than not you’ll find me on any given Sunday sitting on the couch recovering from my wedding hangover with my new favorite guilty pleasure: My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. I some how stumbled on this show one day and was immediately hooked. David shows up to one lucky...

Anna Lyndon - Some simple, helpful advice I heard from the Boston-based company Rafanelli was to spend the most money/effort on things that would be most seen and enjoyed by guests. The tables are super important, for example, because guests are mostly sitting there looking directly at your decorations, or probably dancing. ;) Don’t worry about going all out in decorating the entry way, for example, because it will hardly be noticed. Flowers for bridal party? In every photo. Flowers at guest book table – maybe in one photo, maybe viewed by a guest for a moment? Helps to put things in perspective!May 16, 2012 – 7:09 am

deborahzoe - I would want an amazing location, flowers GALORE and a couture dress;)May 15, 2012 – 12:13 pm

Meg - My sister recently asked what I’d want David to do or change if he had shown up for my wedding. She said she’d want to be spoiled with tons and tons of flowers. I would want a couture dress. What you have wanted him to go over the top with for you?May 15, 2012 – 12:05 pm
