Rose Garden at Lynch Park Maternity Session

I first met this sweet family when their littlest was 6 months old. We spent a chilly December morning in their Boston townhouse capturing a lifestyle session of their family, adjusting to life with a growing baby and learning all about this sweet girl that had entered their life six months earlier.

Cove Cabin at Mount Hope Farm Wedding

Emily & Ricky’s wedding day started with white, puffy clouds but by the time we arrived to their First Look things started to change. The sky turned a dark grey/blue and lightning cracked across the sky off in the distance. In between rain drops and claps of thunder Emily & Ricky braved the elements with smiles and laughter — enjoying every minute they spent together with their wedding party. By the time portraits were over, the skies opened up and a deluge of rain really began…

Coastal New England Engagement Session

When I asked Josselyn & Matthew if they had any ideas of where they might like their engagement session, immediately the first place that came to their minds was their historic New England home. Filled with charm and gorgeous gardens surrounding the house, it was the perfect backdrop for this sweet couple. Josselyn also wanted to visit the beach, just minutes from their house, incorporating their love for the ocean. It was a joy to photograph this couple at their home, a place where they feel comfortable and themselves. I loved all the nooks we had to explore and their beautifully wood and private lot. These two will be tying the knot in just a few short weeks -- until then enjoy some of my favorite images from their session!!

It's here!! The finale to the Best of 2016 series -- WEDDINGS!! This is one of my favorite posts to share each year and there is SO much pretty to share with you today!! 2016 was one for the books, it was an incredible year filled with amazing people and beautiful celebrations. Again and again I was reminded of how special it is to be invited into one of the most important day of a couple's life together and to preserve that day for years to come.

2016 saw celebrations of all kinds and sizes. Estate weddings, chic urban weddings, outdoor ceremonies and gothic styled churches, large wedding parties and small. Each wedding was uniquely different.

Autumn Family Portraits in New England

Almost every year since 2012 I've had the honor of photographing Aubrey and her sweet family. Aubrey and I met via the wedding industry years ago. Today were running photography businesses and raising families. Aubrey's friendship has been such an encouragement to me as we navigate life in this unique world of wedding photography and motherhood.

I have loved being able to photograph their beautiful family over the years. Watching Max grow into a handsome young man and become a big brother has been oh-so-sweet. My hope is that their images will become treasured family heirlooms, documenting the exciting journey their family has been and continues to be on.

Aubrey, thank you for trusting me to capture your family each year, it has been a joy to photograph your life together!! Enjoy your images!!

Travelogue : Nantucket

It has been a dream of mine to visit Nantucket Island. I've lived in Massachusetts my whole life and yet had never visited this coastal oasis. When our good friends shared they would visit the East Coast in May we decided now would be the perfect time to make the trek to Nantucket!

I wasn't prepared for just how perfect Nantucket would be. Grey shuttered houses, creeping rose vines, white picket fences. It was almost more than my nautical New England loving heart could handle. If you are a fan of history, timeless style and that welcoming charm New England is famous for, then Nantucket needs to be at the top of your travel list.
